Shimano Reel Medium Baitrunner LC 5500 XTB
The reel is equipped with slow oscillation and the Aero Wrap II line lay system. This combination allows for extreme distances when casting. The reels utilize the X-Ship gear system, which ensures smooth power transfer and perfect positioning of the gears under load thanks to the two-point anchoring of the pinion in ball bearings. All four sealed S A-RB ball bearings increase durability and extend the life of the gears. The gear system has been redesigned to reduce friction and increase the efficiency of power transfer from the long aluminum handle to the rotor of the reel. This allows for greater torque and power when reeling in, making it easier to fight the fish and better control the catch. The reels are available in two sizes – the large Big Baitrunner is the perfect reel for working in the most extensive carp fishing areas due to its impressive casting performance, while the smaller Medium Baitrunner is a great choice for medium-sized venues where casting distance is not the most important requirement. Both types of reels come with spool capacity reducers.
